And it begins......

Well the last two days have been totally CRAZY for Amber and I. The movers came over yesterday and packed all our stuff and then the shippers loaded our stuff and it is on its way to Virginia. The problem was yesterday there were four workers and it took them from 9:30 - 5:30 to pack then today was horrible, two workers worked from 11:30 to 7:30...ugh. Amber had to take Kurt and Novalee out and Emma was in school. Poor Amber, she works so hard and she is just worn out now.

We got to spend last Saturday with Natalie. It was so wonderful. She is such a great daughter and at least we get to talk through e-mails now. I drew Natalie, Violet and Ian a picture and sent it to them, I hope it gets there soon. I love and miss them so much already.

Emma is doing wonderful in school, we should find out here reading level tomorrow or Monday. The pretest showed that she was at least at 2nd - 3rd grade level. Novale continues to be amazingly cute...or amazingly naughty. Kurt is everywhere!

Amber is so wonderful. She got me a comic today, even though she was stressed about the movers and having Novalee with her. The comic was one that I have been wanting for some time now, I seen it in trade paperback version at Target a while a go, but now it is gone. So she remembered that I wanted it and got for me. What a woman! Thanks babe!

Well, gotta get some rest, looking forward to going to Virginia.....yeah, really!

5th of July

Well it was a fun 4th of July. Megan came down from Oklahoma and we had a nice breakfast at Church and got to chill out most of the day. I got to grill and burned all the hotdogs - yeah, that is how Amber likes 'em. I found out the other day that I most likely will be going to the USS BATAAN (LHD 5) which is stationed in Norfolk, VA. Amber is SO excited and I look forward to checking in. The BATAAN just got off of a cruise so I will have a little while to check in and learn how they do buisiness. Looks like we will be leaving in October, which is kind of good because we want to get there before Christmas and be settled in. We hope to get base housing as soon as we get there, so we are crossing our fingers.

Amber and the kiddos are doing good, so I am blessed. Well that is my quick update. Here is a picture of Kurt, what a stinker!

June 2nd

Amber and Emma are at the Richardson Library doing their "knitting thang" and Novalee and Kurt are playing - so that gives me like two minutes to update my blog.

Last week was alot of fun, we got to spend it with my family in Copperas Cove. My family is doing well and we got to play Apples to Apples with my brothers and Sarah - that was alot of fun. Amber got to rock out on Guitar Hero and my dad now calls her Joan Jett.

Emma has learned how to knit and will be in Kindergarden this year. We had a tour of the school a few weeks ago, she is growing up so fast!!!!!! Novalee is now officially potty trained and up to no good. Kurt now has two teeth and rolling around like a bandit. I am not sure if bandits roll around, but if they do he has got them beat.

Update

Today is early morning on the 17th of May, It's my turn to stay up with little Kurt....

We have had a few busy days lately. Congrats to Megan for her graduation from Oklahoma University!!! Congrats to Anthony for his graduation from Brownsville College!!! I am very proud of both of you. We got to go up to Oklahoma for Megans graduation and it was wonderful. Very very nice. We kinda had to leave early because the kiddos were getting grumpy and tired....sorry Megan!

Amber's parents got to visit for a little bit and it was wonderful seeing them. They had an aweful flight back to Newport News though....

Amber now gives me my allergy shots...she does great! We hope to find out her results from sleep aptnea soon!

Emma is reading wonderfully now! Novalee is still a stinker! Kurt has a tooth and he knows how to use it!

I got an A in Art and will take my Psycology final tomorrow. I have enrolled in English and Geology - then I will have my Associates in Business Administration.

May 2nd

Amber is going through a sleep study and Kurt and I are watch Baby Einstien...okay Kurt is watching Baby Einstien. We had the sister missionaries over for dinner and they sang us a wonderful hymn. Amber gave me my allergy shots (3) for the first time. She did really good, I mean really good. Didn't even hurt! I am in my last two weeks of Art and Psycology, I will take English and most likely Geology next semester then I will have my Associates in Human Resources and Business Administration.

The kiddos are doing good, Emma is reading wonderfully, Novalee is putting sentences together really well and Kurt is just as cute as ever. Amber and I finished the Old Testament a few days ago and we hope to start the New Testament tomorrow night, that should be fun.

Megan's graduation is next week so Amber's mom and dad will be flying out to visit, that should be alot of fun. Well I am off to hang out with Kurt.

Saturday April 21

Today flew by, but I have a few minutes before bed so I thought I would update my blog. Amber got to go to a breakfast with the ladies from Church this morning. She made Keish (I think thats how you spell it). She had to come home a little early due to a little boy who wanted to eat. Amber is feeding him a little rice cereal now.

We went to the library and got some more "night time" books for the kids. We have started to read them a book before bed each night. Thanks library for the books!

Amber was so tired and got some rest and when she woke up I took Emma and Novalee on a walk then Emma and I got to go to a baptizim. Johnny was baptized today and we picked up the Elders from Plano so they could see it also. It was very nice and peacful and you could really feel the spirit. Emma got to sit up front and she wanted to shake Johnny's hand and smiled alot. Very very nice.

Amber and I read Malachi last night so we have officially read the whole Old Testament! We have one more section in our student manual to read then its the New Testament! Very excited to read it from front to back. I have been asked to teach the Old Testament in Seminary for next year, really excited about that!

Well, off to bed and well see how Kurt man sleeps tonight!
