A busy week, shots and a possible trip to Houston

As Megan has said, yep, I am slackin.....my bad. It's been a busy week for us Ewell's. Amber and the girls are a little out of it with the flu (hopefully they have gone through the worst of it). Amber and I got some down time together and went to the Dallas Temple on Tuesday (date night!). She has lost five pounds already on her diet!!!!! I am so proud of her. On Friday I had to go to Fort Worth and update my medical record....ouch. Four shots = sore arm. I got to pick up the other kiddos and on Saturday we particpated as the "Ewell Players" in a church activity.

We were given council to read the Book of Mormon and on Saturday we could volunteer to do a play or tell others what we have learned. Emma got a book for her birthday and we got to act it out. Amber was the MC and Novalee and Ian kind of were on the sidelines, but the play went well and the kids had a blast. They got cookies afterwards so you know Novalee and Emma were happy! Church was nice (I had to teach so I was kind of nervous, but it went okay).

Now as for the Honey Bunny, well she chewed up the keyboard, mouse, microphone and speaker cords....grumble grumble. But she is so cute....I even got her some yogurt snacks as I got a new keyboard....don't ask me why. Okay one more thing....Natalie is in the 8th grade and in her history class they talked about the Mormon trail and the teacher asked if anyone was a Mormon. Well Natalie raised her hand and some of the kids were asking her some off the wall questions but she answered them well and made me very proud!

Well we might be going to Houston for a leadership course I need for E-8 in the middle of February, I should find out this week if I will be going. Of course my beautiful wife and kiddos will be coming along....just don't think it will be as nice as Pensacola. Well I PROMISE to keep up my blog better than I have. Oh, one more thing....GO STEELERS!

On a rainy sunday.....

Today is a rainy Sunday, we just got back from Church and the kiddos are taking a nap. Amber and I played the game Life last night....and it was really fun. So it got me to thinking (yes that is dangerous, but not to worry, I do not do that often) what are some of your favorite board games? Amber and I like to play Sorry (the new one) and Imaginiff. Natalie and Violet love X-Men Monopoly. I kind of like all of them. When I was a young whippersnapper my parents had a game called "The Chirstmas Game" me and my little bro's loved that game....anyway, what are your favorites?

One lucky guy

I had to publicly thank Amber for being so wonderful lately. She has been awesome and I am so glad she is feeling better. She has started a new diet and she has already impressed me with her will power! Novalee's appointment went good today also. So what is every ones favorite movie of all time??? I know what you are going to say, "why chadwick with your class and marvelous taste, yours must be either The Sound of Music or Kung Pow"...but alas my all time favorite has to be the blockbuster hit...Napoleon Dynamite! Dang it!

Another good day

Amber just got back from her doctor's appointment for her follow-up on surgery and everything looks good! She has started her new food plan....so I get more fruit! Well I have a question for all you peeps out there: what was your favorite pet and why? I have to say that my rabbit Honey is the best so far, she makes me relax and slow down....which is a good thing....I think. My daughter Natalie said the funniest thing - "Well butter my back and call me a buscit"....I can't get enough of that! Good times.

Beginnings......

Hello, I am Chad. I like stuff. Lotsa different kinds of stuff. Like Religon, the Book of Mormon, my beautiful best friend and wife, my five wonderful children, comics, bananas, gobstoppers, the Disney Channel (see above: five kids) and Napoleon Dynamite. Yesssss. Amber has shown me her blog and I thought it was kind of cool (so was Meganrah's) so I thought I would give it a try. I hope to post alot, since there is just so much to say and life, although tough sometimes, sure is swell.
